The three species of birds selected for this cushion series are endemic to Taiwan and are taken from the National Museum of Taiwan History's collection of lithographs and handwritten color drawings, originally from the book The Birds of Asia.
The artist, John Gould, drew it with reference to the collection and research of Robert Swinhoe (1836-1877), an amateur museum scholar in England.
Ample Ace Co., Ltd. acquired the license to print the fabric and sew the cushions using the exclusive "Magic Dazzle®" system.
